Job Description

The Programming and Strategy Lead is a position that sits within the Operations team under the Content umbrella and reports directly to the Programming and Strategy Lead. The role primarily focuses on content planning and strategy, and is responsible for the construction and maintenance of Quibi’s programming tool.

What You’ll Do:

  • Advise on overall content programming strategy
  • Work with tech (product and engineering) to build planning/programming efforts directly into our preferred CMS/MAM tool
  • Oversee the content programming workflow at launch and beyond
    • Work with production and post to assure all content assets and deliverables are delivered on schedule, advising on ways to pivot should we get behind
    • Work with marketing, post production and comms to define the required content marketing deliverables
    • Work with product and tech to actively pivot and refine content strategy based on desired user experience
  • Engage with the Content Planning & Analysis team on audience feedback, user behavior and more, leveraging their research and applying it to our content programming strategy
  • Observe and track the competitive marketplace, gaining learnings on how we can improve our processes based on what is working externally and what isn’t
  • Professionally and with a partnership approach, manage external partners where required
  • Work strategically and in collaboration with Programming & Strategy Lead to create and maintain internal and external processes, workflows, policies and systems
  • Interface daily with Airtable, Rightsline, and selected CMS vendor

What You’ll Need:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in programming legacy entertainment, social, digital and/or streaming platforms
  • Strong leadership skills, able to communicate clearly, emanate calm and remain focused in a high pressure, ambiguous environment
  • Adept at anticipating potential issues, identifying problems, recommending and implementing solutions
  • Self-starter mentality
  • Excellent technical proficiency and ability to work within both cloud-based programs and software applicable to programming and organization, including but not limited to: Airtable, Rightsline, Google Drive/Docs, Microsoft Office
  • Design skills and proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premiere), Lucidchart and Keynote highly preferred
