Job Description

Condé Nast Entertainment is looking for a Post Production Supervisor who will be responsible for the organization and optimization of all post-production work and will collaborate with the creative production teams to ensure consistent workflows and best practices are being used across the entire production process.

The Post Production Supervisor role is a multifaceted position involving management, infrastructure, and creativity. The position will report to the Director of Post Production and will oversee post production on digital editorial videos from development through final delivery.  

RESPONSIBILITIES / CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Coordinate with Production and Post teams to implement all projects into the post-production pipeline

  • Work with Strategy, Production, and Scheduling teams to review quarterly and yearly programming plans to assess post-production resource hiring and allocation

  • Work closely with the Director of Post Production to expand CNE’s freelancer network and souce new talent

  • Ensure standardization of post-production processes from ingest to how Post Managers are overseeing edits and Video Editors

  • Oversee Post Managers and creative assignments to Video Editors; manage conflict resolution in regards to timeline scheduling and talent resources

  • Advocate for the Video Editors and the needs of the Post department when liaising with and managing the expectations of other departments

  • Contribute to post-production planning aspects of new initiatives (e.g. new types of content, new platforms)

  • Directly manage the Assistant Editors

  • Onboard new Producers to the CNE post-production process

  • Maintain and update department instructional and process documentation

QUALIFICATIONS / ATTRIBUTES

  • 4+ years combined experience in post-production roles, with experience in project management required and in the digital editorial space preferred

  • Deep knowledge of post-production processes, workflows, and best practices, including scheduling and final deliverables

  • Organized planning skills to ensure each project stays on course and the adaptability to pivot when things falter or change priority

  • Self-starter with top-notch communication and time-management skills, follow through, and positive teamwork attitude; always proactive and solution-oriented

  • Ability to oversee dozens of projects simultaneously and handle tight deadlines

  • Strong storytelling instincts; understanding of creative team’s vision and goals in regards to YouTube hits and scalability

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite; experience as an editor a plus
