The Role

Hiring an experienced innovator and creative leader in digital video to lead and manage a team of world class creatives, develop IP, and help hit aggressive growth targets for this digital video business.

Responsibilities:

· Oversee and lead Development team, developing content for O&O sites and every social media platform – prioritizing highest revenue and audience upside

· Develop slate of new pilots each quarter and ensure top franchise hits continue to be produced at high quality and highest engagement levels

· understand the voice and vision of each brand, and develop digital franchises based on that vision

· Team up talent leaders to ensure best hosts are recruited

· Align with Programming and Production teams on quality, tone and narrative for each asset of content created

· Help build a business that hits aggressive audience engagement and revenue KPIS, and that generates meaningful profit

Skills & Qualifications:

· Industry experience: 10+ years of experience in the digital media space, with soup to nuts experience in concept creation and execution of videos that drive deep, organic engagement on multiple video platforms.

· Experienced at creating videos with tight constraints and short windows of time. Personal experience in directing digital videos a strong plus.

· Deep knowledge of the competitive social video landscape, unique elements of each video platform, and what makes particular videos successful on each platform.

· Experience working with outside production companies and managing the voice and direction of multiple stakeholders.

· Editorial/Creative: Established creative sensibility, with a real understanding of how to tell a great story; a creator of content who has generated true cultural impact. Must have fingers on the pulse of internet culture and know what makes videos break out of all the noise.

· Proven Leader: A seasoned manager of large teams of writers, directors, producers and editors. Respected and trusted, with a collaborative, inclusive leadership style.
